The junior suite offered a quiet retreat with a lovely, spacious bathroom and a super shower. Breakfast was fantastic, with the added bonus of oat milk for dairy-free options. The staff were cheerful and went out of their way, even helping with taxi arrangements and providing a scenic walking route. the communal areas, while charming with historical decor, felt a bit cramped during peak hours.

Elegant junior suite, great food, but noisy at night. Free parking is a plus.

Not as Luxurious as Expected
The stay was pretty underwhelming for the price. Our 'superior double' room was basic and the en-suite was tiny. We were really looking forward to some nice meals, but the starters were far too cold. The servers seemed a bit lost, making it all feel chaotic. At least the in-room breakfast was decent!

missingWrote a review on May 17uncomfortable seating
Breakfast experience fell short with slow service and improperly cooked food, leaving a bitter taste. While the bar has a pleasant aesthetic, the uncomfortable seating detracted from the experience, requiring adjustments for comfort. Outdoor dining wasn’t allowed despite the lovely weather, which felt quite limiting given the sparse number of guests. The menu lacked variety, especially for vegetarians, leaving little choice for those with dietary preferences.

perfectly situated for exploring local parks and attractions
we loved our stay, especially the short walk to the quaint caudwell mill craft centre and the picturesque views at chatsworth house, making it an ideal base for our weekend jaunts, though the sitting area could use cozier furnishings.
